Ten clinics, nine in Istanbul and one in Tirana, described from their own published material, plus the questions a Floridian should settle about airports, the calendar and a summer that makes aftercare harder to follow.
For most Floridians, the operation is the simple part of a Turkey hair transplant. The harder parts are the long-haul flight out of Miami, Orlando or Tampa and the healing period back in the Sunshine State, where heat, strong sun and humidity are routine for much of the year. Clinic aftercare rules on sweat, hats, swimming and sun are easier to keep in January than in July.
The ten clinics below are profiled from what each publishes about itself, in an order that is not a ranking of surgical results. If you are starting from scratch, Istanbul Care’s introduction to the turkey hair transplant process is a sensible first read.

What each clinic says about itself
1. Istanbul Care Clinic
Istanbul Care publishes prices and inclusions side by side, settling the clinic part of your budget before you price flights. Branding itself “Turkey’s most affordable premium clinic”, it sells three flat packages, all-inclusive: $1,990 buys FUE, $2,290 buys ICE DHI and $2,490 buys Gold ICE DHI. The figure stays the same however many grafts you need; higher tiers differ, the clinic says, in implantation technique, anesthesia and post-operative regenerative therapy. Each package bundles surgery by a licensed surgeon, blood tests and a trichoscopic scalp analysis beforehand, one PRP session, hotel accommodation, VIP transfers covering airport and clinic legs, coordination in English with translator support, a care kit for home use and a twelve-month WhatsApp line to the medical team. Flights, meals beyond hotel breakfast and sightseeing are extra; its turkey hair transplant cost page itemizes everything.
2. Dr. Serkan Aygın Clinic
This Şişli practice centers on the dermatologist Dr. Serkan Aygın. Alongside FUE and DHI it lists women’s, beard, eyebrow and unshaven procedures. Planning starts before travel: you send photos and your medical history, the team assesses them, and a technique, a graft plan and a quote follow in that order. Local anesthesia comes with a needle-free option and, if needed, light sedation from an anesthetist. Send records only through the clinic’s official website.
3. Vera Clinic
Among the bigger Istanbul centers for international patients, Vera Clinic offers Sapphire FUE and DHI, promotes an oxygen-therapy add-on for recovery and says its interpreters cover several languages. A busy center can mean a busy operating day: ask how many procedures run alongside yours and who performs extraction and implantation, and get the answers in writing.
4. Acıbadem Healthcare Group
Acıbadem is the hospital route. Founded in 1991, the private group performs hair transplants in a medical unit at hospitals it runs in Istanbul’s Taksim, Bakırköy and Kartal areas, where the operating surgeons are plastic and reconstructive specialists and local anesthesia is used; a trichoscopy assessment comes before the per-case price. By the group’s own count, seven of its hospitals carry JCI accreditation, yet none of those is a hair transplant site, so check which hospital your booking names.
5. Estemoon Clinic
Estemoon is an Istanbul aesthetics center whose menu runs from hair to plastic surgery, dentistry and obesity treatment. Hair patients choose from FUE, Sapphire FUE and Choi-pen DHI, and the itemized tiers spell out a hotel stay, one PRP session, the first wash on site, a premium aftercare kit and follow-up online. Estemoon organizes health travel through authorized contracted facilities and is not itself a hospital, so get the operating venue named in writing.
6. Royal Hair Istanbul
Royal Hair Istanbul packages FUE, Sapphire FUE or DHI with a Choi implanter together with transfers and accommodation, and publishes per-graft prices beside its packages, so the two models can be compared directly. Its anesthesia options include a needle-free one. Like Estemoon, it organizes treatment in authorized contracted facilities rather than a hospital, and its material puts teams ahead of any lead surgeon: ask who performs each stage.
7. Smile Hair Clinic
Smile Hair Clinic is the 2018 venture of Dr. Mehmet Erdoğan and Dr. Gökay Bilgin, both hair transplant surgeons and, per the site, its co-founders. Housed in its own building in Ümraniye, the clinic performs FUE, DHI and Sapphire FUE; consultations are led by doctors, and its library of patient guides is large. Its packages differ in one telling way, the amount of operating the surgeon does personally, so read each description, not the tier name.
8. Albania Hair Clinic: the Turkey alternative
The one entry outside Turkey, Tirana’s Albania Hair Clinic publishes fixed package prices for FUE, Sapphire FUE and DHI. Most of its patients speak Italian, Tirana being a short flight from Italy. If your trip already takes in Europe, trapiento capell albania packages may be worth comparing, but confirm the inclusions first, because the clinic’s pages give conflicting answers on hotel and transfers. Turkish rules do not reach Albania, so check the surgeon’s license and the facility yourself.
9. Clinicana
Clinicana builds hair transplant packages for international patients, handles their travel arrangements itself alongside other medical tourism services, and publishes fixed prices. Surgery takes place in contracted hospitals, so get the facility’s name in writing and check its license before any deposit.
10. Aslı Tarcan Clinic
Aslı Tarcan Clinic’s menu covers FUE, Sapphire FUE and DHI, including a robotic DHI option with the ARTAS system, and it lists female, unshaven and Afro-textured cases among those it treats. Its head physician, per the site, is Dr. Bülent Çatıkkaş. Pricing appears as an indicative range, and its day-by-day itinerary opens with consultation and blood tests and closes with the first wash before departure, which simplifies booking flights from Florida.
Heat, sun and humidity: recovery questions to settle first
The NHS describes the first days after surgery plainly: a tight, sore and swollen scalp, and small scabs where the grafts went in. Ask for your clinic’s aftercare sheet before paying a deposit and read it with an ordinary Florida day in mind:
- If work, classes, workouts or boat days keep you outdoors, ask how to handle sweat and direct sun, and for how long.
- Ask when a loose cap is allowed, and how to stay shaded before then.
- For pools, the Gulf and the Atlantic, ask for a date rather than a vague “later”.
Follow your clinic’s aftercare instructions over anything you read online, this article included, and find a Florida dermatologist you could see if anything looks off.
Flying to Istanbul from Miami, Orlando or Tampa
From any of the three airports, Istanbul is a long-haul trip, and you fly home with a freshly operated scalp. Compare a nonstop, where your airport offers one, with a connection that breaks up the hours in a seat.
- Ask the clinic when it will clear you to fly, and book a changeable fare.
- The CDC Yellow Book advises seeing a travel-medicine provider at least 4 to 6 weeks ahead of departure.
- Hurricane season spans summer and much of the fall, so allow for a delayed return.
Timing a Turkey hair transplant around the Florida summer
The NHS timeline sets your calendar: transplanted hair often sheds after a few weeks, new growth usually appears after about 4 months, and the finished result needs 10 to 18 months. That early stage collides with a Florida summer of caps, humid afternoons and beach weekends. If you would rather not nurse a healing scalp through the hottest months, look at the cooler part of the year and ask your surgeon whether the season matters for you. Students can plan around academic breaks; for a wedding or graduation, count forward to the 10 to 18 month mark.
FAQ: a Turkey hair transplant from Florida
Is a Turkey hair transplant safe?
It is surgery, so there is risk anywhere. The NHS names bleeding and infection, allergy to the anesthetic, hair that fails to grow and noticeable scarring; the ISHRS adds that FUE nearly always leaves small, round scars, whatever “no scar” ads claim. What you can influence: a licensed facility, a named physician for the doctor-only steps, and written aftercare.
When will I see results from a Turkey hair transplant?
Think in seasons, not weeks: per the NHS, regrowth typically becomes visible from about month 4, with the complete result somewhere between month 10 and month 18. Judge it then, not from a selfie taken soon after you get back.
What should a Turkey hair transplant package include?
Packages vary, and the CDC Yellow Book’s advice for medical tourists is to “understand which services are included in the cost”. Use the Istanbul Care list in its profile above as a checklist, and ask every other clinic to answer it line by line, exclusions included.
Should I choose FUE or DHI for a Turkey hair transplant?
That is the examining physician’s call, since the ISHRS treats surgery planning as a doctor’s task. Both methods take grafts individually from the donor area. FUE places them into channels opened beforehand; DHI uses an implanter pen to open each site and set the graft in a single motion. Sapphire FUE is simply FUE with sapphire-bladed channel incisions.
